Officer Highlight: Shannon Weihl, Student Advisor
My absolute favorite FFA Memory was earning my State Degree last year. I worked so hard to get the requirements, and it was a huge achievement for me to walk across the stage. Along with earning my State Degree my other top memory is working tractor pulls with other members. It's always fun talking to the campers from across the United States, and some even bring you back donuts from Walmart!
One thing I couldn't live without:
I couldn't live without a planner. Most people never touch the one they get for school, but I'm always writing in mine and have my week planned out by Sunday night, usually if I'm not procrastinating. I love to have things planned out and put on a schedule, plus I love writing in them and making them look neat.
College & Career Plans:
I plan to attend Bowling Green State University and major in Exercise Science after graduation. After graduating with my Bachelor's, I want to go on to doctoral school to eventually become a physical therapist.
Something people might not know about me:
Some people may not know that I love to make Do It Yourself projects, so much I even did it as a 4-H project last year. I love using old items to make new things and I really want to try bigger projects like redoing a dresser. My favorite show because of my love for DIY's is Flea Market Flip and I also love watching home remodeling shows and hope to do that someday in the future.
Officer Highligt: Ryan Lashaway, Sentinel
Favorite FFA Memory:
My favorite FFA memory is getting to attend National Convention several different years. Every year that I have attended, I have gotten to make so many new friends and learn new things. Many of these friends I have stayed in touch with ever since I first met them. Getting to spend several days in the city with someone of my closest friends is the best part of it all!
One thing you couldn't live without:
One thing that I could not live without is my car. I love my car like it is my own child and rely on it for nearly everything on a daily basis.
College & Career Plans
I plan to attend the University of South Dakota in the fall. I intend to major in psychology with an undecided minor. After my bachelor's degree I plan to continue on with school earning my masters and then my doctorate
Something people might not know about you...
Something people may not know about me is that I am attending college in South Dakota due to the large amount of rural land surrounding the university. Although it is a good school for my major, it will allow me to keep agriculture in my life without actually studying it.
