Community Service
Some of our Upward Bound and Interact students worked with Wayne Rotary to clean up Downtown Wayne on Saturday, April 27, 2024. It was a lot of hard work, but they did a beautiful job.
Senior Incentive Trip
10 of our seniors went on the senior incentive trip (that they all earned) to Pigeon Forge, TN. They stayed in an amazing cabin, experienced many exhibits that TN has to offer, and had a wonderful time.
Opera House
Upward Bound students will be attending a field trip to the Detroit Opera House on Friday, May 10, 2024 to see the dress rehearsal for Cunning Little Vixen.

Counseling, College, & Career Readiness News
- College and Career Hub
- Quarter 4 Counseling Newsletter
- Local Scholarship Applicants: The 1st round of notification emails went out on Friday, April 26 for students that received a scholarship as a result of applying for local scholarships back in December. Additional notifications may be sent out as more of the donor's checks come in to cover their scholarships.
- Seniors should be turning in college acceptance letters and information on any scholarship money that has been earned to the counseling office. That is the only way you will be recognized for this in the Honors Book.
- Seniors: The FAFSA is open. You will have a very short window of opportunity to complete this. This year changes have been made to make the FAFSA easier to complete. Gather the items that you need now. You will need to gather tax returns from last year. You will want to start gathering income documentation (ex. child support if you receive any - you will want to get those totals). Student and parent(s) will each need the FAFSA ID which you can get now. Visit StudentAid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch to create an FSA ID. You'll need your Social Security number, full name, and date of birth. You'll also need to create a memorable username and password, and complete challenge questions and answers so you can retrieve your account information if you forget it.

KLAA Student Athlete Leadership Summit
This past week, a group of student athletes from Wayne Memorial attended a leadership summit at Northville High School along with student athletes from all of the other high schools in our league. While at the summit, our athletes were able to learn from speakers including a college coach, a professional athlete, and a representative from the MHSAA who each shared ideas about being leaders on athletic teams. Our athletes were amazing representatives for our school!
