Music Enrichment: K-5
While Kids Who Care Performing Arts Studio closed its doors this year, we are happy to partner with the former KWC Education Director to continue our collaboration. The former KWC team will host a performing arts enrichment program for up to 40 K-5 students. The program will run for all five days of Intersession from 8:00 am to 11:45 am at Carlson. Families are invited to a showcase on Friday, March 14th at 11:00 am.
Fort Worth Zoo: K-5
Alice Carlson is collaborating with the FW Zoo to offer a science enrichment program for up to 25 K-5 students. This three-day program will take place on 3/10, 3/11, and 3/13. Parents can drop students off at the zoo as early as 8:00 am. Students will be greeted by a Carlson staff member near the ticket booth for a car line drop-off. Classes will begin at 8:30 am. Dismissal is at 11:30 in the same location.
Fort Worth Botanical Garden: K-5
Alice Carlson is collaborating with the FW Botanical Garden to offer an enrichment program for up to 25 K-5 students. Wednesday will be all about Becoming Butterflies, and Friday will focus on the Nature Boardwalk. This two-day program will take place on 3/12 and 3/14. Parents can drop students off at the garden as early as 8:00 am. Students will be greeted at the BRIT building circle driveway. Classes will begin at 8:30 am. Dismissal is at 11:30 in the same location.
Fort Worth Museum of Science and History: K-2
Alice Carlson is collaborating with The FW Museum of Science and History to offer an enrichment program for up to 25 K-2 students. It will be a Discovery Camp on Wheels and include exploration in our OLE. The program will run for all five days of Intersession from 8:30 am to 11:45 am at Carlson.
Correy Sharkey Art Program: 3-5
Design a flag for Van Cliburn. This Spring, we invite 12 3rd-5th grade students to come join Correy in the art studio at Carlson to design and create a one-of-a-kind flag celebrating the Van Cliburn Piano Competition. The flag will be hung in the new Van Cliburn Music Hall at TCU, as decorations during this international piano competition. You will also get the option to create your very own flag. The program will run for all five days of Intersession from 8:00 am to 11:45 am at Carlson.
