What Are Your Resolutions in 2025?
REMINDER: Students return to school on January 2, 2025!
The Board of Education recently adopted the 2025–2026 School Year calendar. The calendar is responsive to community input, offers limited instructional disruptions, and maintains 181 days of instruction. There will be a change to the start of the school year with the introduction of Student Transition Day scheduled for Monday, August 25. This new non-instructional full day is designed to support students transitioning to new school levels or schools by fostering a sense of belonging and preparedness. It is for students in Grades K, 6, and 9, and students new to a school or MCPS. Additional information will be provided in the future.
