Title 1 Compact
It is the mission of Hawthorn Community Consolidated School District 73 to ensure learning for all. This mission guides our allocation of resources in supporting districtwide goals and school improvement plans. With your support, we are able to reach our goal of helping all students succeed. Our School of Dual Language qualifies as a Title I Schoolwide Program. Title I is a federal education program that supports students throughout the nation by providing funds for additional resources. The amount of funding provided is determined by the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, and funds are allocated to support students' success. As part of our agreement in receiving these funds, we develop a “learning compact.” This is a voluntary agreement between our families and school that outlines how parents/guardians, school staff, and participating students share the responsibility for improved student achievement. You are welcome to attend an informational session to learn more about this Title 1 compact. The session is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20 at the School of Dual Language, prior to our Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) event.
