Varsity Boys Basketball

On Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, the Dryden Boys Varsity Dryden Basketball team played Peck at home. In the first quarter Dryden and Peck tied with 6 points. But in the second quarter, Dryden sank 9 points when Peck accomplished 4 points. After halftime, in the third quarter, Dryden added another 17 points to their score when Peck achieved 2. The last quarter brought about 5 points with Dryden made 3 points. In the end Dryden (5-3) won 35 points over Peck (4-7) 18 points. The Coach of the Dryden Boys Varsity Basketball Team, John DelCampo, said, "We played great defense all night. I'm very proud of the team. To hold a team like Peck to 18 points is a tribute to how much pride they take in their defense."
For Dryden, Sonny Coscione scored 17 points; Luke Taylor added 9; Brady Schneider sank 4; David Insley shot 3; and Gianni Coscione followed with 2.
On Friday, January 10th, 2025, The Dryden Boys Varsity Basketball team played Bay City All Saints (BCAS) at home. In the first quarter, Dryden took the lead with 8 points when BCAS scored 5. In the second quarter, Dryden came out and gained 21 points when BCAS ended up with 9. But in the third quarter, BCAS pushed back with 12 gained points when Dryden shot 11 points. The fourth quarter Dryden executed 16 points to BCAS’ 11. In the end, Dryden (6-3) won with 56 points against Bay City All Saints (2-7) 37 points. Coach John DelCampo said after the game, "We played very well in the first half. We got a little careless in the third quarter but closed out the game well."
For Dryden, Sonny Coscione scored 27 points; Luke Taylor added 6; Brady Schneider and David Insley sank 5 each; Gianni Coscione had 10 points; and Hayden Blair shot 3.
Varsity Bowling

The varsity bowling teams competed in two matches last week. On January 7, they faced Bay City All Saints at Monitor Lanes. The boys’ team fell 27.5 - 2.5 (1-4), and the girls’ team narrowly lost 17 - 13 (3-2).
On January 9 at Rocket Lanes, the teams took on Reese. The girls dominated with a huge 29.5 - 0.5 victory, while the boys fought hard but came up just short, losing 15.5 - 14.5.
Varsity Girls Basketball

On January 9, Dryden defeated North Huron 39-24. Keira Miller led the team with 20 points, followed by Isabella Weier with 7, Jalynn Delmotte with 7, Kierstyn Stankevich with 3, and Karley Phillips with 2.
On January 7, Dryden won against Peck 51-40. Keira Miller scored 22 points, Isabella Weier contributed 11, Kierstyn Stankevich also scored 11, Karley Phillips added 5, and Jalynn Delmotte scored 2.
On December 19, Dryden triumphed over Bentley 52-5. Kierstyn Stankevich led with 15 points, Keira Miller scored 12, Jalynn Delmotte added 7, Monica Kucharski had 5, Karley Phillips scored 4, Mckinley Gammon added 4, Isabella Weier scored 3, and Ariela Perales had 2.
On December 20, Dryden lost to Webberville 39-57. Keira Miller scored 29 points, and Kierstyn Stankevich added 8, with Isabella Weier contributing 2.
On December 10, Dryden defeated Akron Fairgrove 54-26. Keira Miller led the scoring with 18 points, Isabella Weier added 15, Jalynn Delmotte scored 11, Kierstyn Stankevich contributed 4, McKinley Gammon added 4, and Monica Kucharski scored 2. Jalynn Delmotte also made one 3-pointer in the game.
