KAOL Summer Update

We hope that you have all had an amazing summer! In gearing up for the new school year, please take some time to read through this newsletter. And as always, please feel free to contact your child's school or the KAOL School Support Center with any questions. Keep an eye on our school website (www.kaolaz.org) and school social media throughout the summer for additional information.

If you are new to Kingman Academy of Learning, we ask you to attend the corresponding meeting below so we can welcome you and your student(s) to KAOL. Your principal will share valuable information regarding the upcoming school year. Please plan accordingly. This is a very important meeting and 100% attendance is our goal.

Our students at Kingman Academy of Learning made significant improvements in school attendance at all of our campuses during the last school year. However, we are still finding a number of our students are chronically absent throughout the school year.

One of the four pillars Kingman Academy of Learning was built on almost 30 years ago is consistent student attendance and a reduction in absenteeism. KAOL wholeheartedly believes that attending school on a regular basis is important for academic growth, student achievement, and high self-esteem.

You will find a link to the 2024-25 school calendar above. As you are planning events and vacations this year, we ask you to do your very best to ensure that your child is in school regularly and absences are avoided unless your child is ill.

Kingman Academy of Learning is a uniform school. Each of our school buildings have different requirements as it applies to uniforms and dress codes. Please take a look at the current school handbook, which can be found at this link for additional dress code information. Or call your child's school with questions.

Student verification begins Monday, July 1st. We ask that all of our families login to student verification in Synergy and finish this process as soon as possible. If you have questions about student verification for the upcoming school year, please call the KAOL School Support Center at (928) 681-2400.

New Student Enrollment Documentation

Additionally, the following documentation MUST be provided in a timely manner for all new students attending Kingman Academy of Learning. Failure to provide this documentation by the dates mentioned below may result in student withdrawal from KAOL.

1. Proof of Residency - on or before the first day of the school year. Copies of utility bills, lease agreements, affidavits, drivers license, or other documents showing current residence are acceptable for this purpose.

2. Record of Vaccinations or vaccination waiver - on or before the 5th day of school. Additionally, students moving from 5th grade to 6th grade (11 years old) must have an updated vaccination record to enter the 6th grade.

3. Birth Certificate/Proof of Age - on or before the 30th day of school. A variety of documents are acceptable for this purpose. Documents such as religious, hospital, or physicians certificate showing date of birth; and adoption record; an affidavit from a parent; a birth certificate; or previously verified school records.
