Principal's Corner
As we wrap up week 8 of the school year, I want to highlight the purposeful and intentional learning taking place across our classrooms. Over the past week, our teachers have been assessing student progress, focusing on mastery of the standards. As I visit classrooms, I see students working hard, asking clarifying questions when they need help, collaborating with their peers, and demonstrating their learning in many different ways.
Next week, we are excited to celebrate National School Lunch Week! To show our appreciation, we will be treating students to something special on both Monday and Thursday. This is also a great time to recognize and give a huge shout-out to our amazing food service team. Their hard work ensures that every student is well-fed and ready to learn each day. We truly appreciate their dedication!
Looking ahead, we are also preparing for our first round of parent-teacher conferences. This is a valuable opportunity for you to connect with your child's teachers, gain insight into their progress, and continue supporting their growth. If you haven’t signed up yet, please see the instructions below on how to register for a conference time.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership in your child's education. It has been another fantastic week at Godwin Heights Middle School, and we look forward to seeing many of you next week!
