Shumate Family Update

Shumate Middle School's Fine Arts Night last week was a resounding success, showcasing the incredible talents of our students. The event featured an impressive display of student artwork, filling the halls with vibrant paintings, drawings, and sculptures that demonstrated creativity and skill. The evening was further enriched by captivating musical performances, with students singing beautifully and playing various instruments, creating an atmosphere of harmony and artistic expression. A special thanks goes to Mr. Brockington, Mrs. Walchak, and Mr. Vandergriff for their dedication and hard work in organizing and running this memorable event. Their commitment to fostering a love for the arts in our students truly made the night an unforgettable celebration of talent

The Shumate Yearbook Club made a remarkable impact by supporting the Gibraltar Food Pantry's mission to feed those in need within our community. Through their dedicated efforts, the club organized a food drive that successfully collected an impressive 545 pounds of food! This incredible achievement demonstrates the club's commitment to community service and highlights the power of collective action. We are deeply grateful for their enthusiasm and hard work. Their contribution will go a long way in ensuring that our neighbors do not go hungry. Thank you, Shumate Yearbook Club, for your generosity and support!

Lost and found items will be placed on tables outside the cafeteria until Wednesday, June 12. After school on the 12th, all remaining items will be donated. Please remind your child to check for missing hoodies, shoes, lunchboxes, and other belongings.
