PHSFH Weekly Update

Hi all,

Congrats to Varsity and JV for playing their first official game this week! JV tied (but showed great improvement from their first scrimmage) and Varsity had a great first showing out in a 9-0 shutout win. Lots to be excited about and celebrate!

A couple of practice time switches:

This Monday (tomorrow) Labor Day is now 3-5pm on turf. The turf is open and most of us have the day off. Pasta party for BOTH TEAMS to follow. Anyone on Varsity who has signed up to bring food, please bring to the joint location (find the address below in the schedule)
This Wednesday is now 4:30-6pm on the track. Last newsletter I made a suggestion to buy Chicken Charlie's during practice, but now we will all dine there as a team after practice (6:30pm)

Speaking of Chicken Charlie's, make it a priority to tell everyone you know about the fundraiser + Kiwani's cup game (photo/flyer linked below)! Customers can donate throughout the week through donating cash and filling the Poway bucket with marbles ($1 = 1 marble entry). The girls this morning spent a lot of time decorating the place-it looks amazing-and creating a video to generate interest. Our Athletic Director was walking by during decorating and was our first donator/posted about it! Let's show Chicken Charlie's and Mt Carmel who has the most school spirit and celebrate our first year competing for this cup!

Please see below for the practice/game schedule for the next two weeks. As indicated on the schedule, we will most likely NOT have a bus for 09/05 against San Pasqual but a bus is possible for 09/12 against Scripps Ranch. I will keep you all updated.

I included some action photos from Varsity's game against RB this week in this newsletter. I can only get these photos if awesome parents like you take some and share! I'd love to include more of JV's content into these newsletters because we are one big hockey family.
