Patriot's Pointe
October 9 - October 13 Vol. 2 Edition 11
Happy Monday Patriot Families!
Greetings Patriot Families,
I hope everyone is enjoying the day off from school today! This week will be a short but impactful week for all of our students. Tomorrow will count as a digital learning day for all students and teachers have communicated expectations around assignment and submission of assignments for tomorrow. Students who do not engage in assignments and submit them tomorrow will be marked absent in any class for which assignments are not submitted.
Our 9th, 10th, and 11th Grade students will take the PSAT on Wednesday of this week. The PSAT is a national test that will identify students who qualify for a National Merit Scholarship and serves as an indicator on how students are likely to perform on the SAT. All students who are testing need to bring their fully charged school-issued Chromebook to school as this will be a digital assessment. Additionally, 11th Grade students who have registered for the ASVAB will take that assessment on Wednesday. Our Senior students will receive important information on sizing for their graduation caps and gowns on Wednesday as well.
9-Week progress reports will be issued on Thursday, October 12th. All progress reports will be available in Infinite Campus for your review. Parents, this progress report reflects the mid-point of the semester and your student's progress in each course. Please speak with your child about any missing assignments, low performance on formative and summative assessments, as well as tardies and absences. These factors can have a negative impact on your child's progress and may not reflect their full academic potential.
Thank you to all of the teachers and students who supported our Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week. The door decorating contest, Hispanic Heritage assembly, the Fiesta, and all activities last week really made our students feel appreciated and provided a learning opportunity for us all. A special shout out to Mr. Haynes and Ms. Alegria for their hard work and dedication to our students last week and to our Fiesta chaperones: Ms. Castro, Mr. Machado, Mrs. Machado, Ms. Jean, and Ms. Gomez!
This week will be another busy week at The Creek! Congratulations are in order for our Lady Patriots Softball and Volleyball teams who both secured Back 2 Back Region Championships! Our Volleyball team will play against Fayette County tomorrow and our Girls Flag Football team will play against Starr's Mill later in the week. Our Patriot Football team will begin region play this week at home against Carver High School. We hope to see all of our families this week supporting our athletic teams across the county!
We are excited to support our students in their academic endeavors while providing them with a competitive advantage!

The Campus Parent portal is your source for student and family records, including household and individual contact information, attendance, school-based fees, academic planning (high school), forms, and report cards. The Parent portal also provides access to the GaDOE SLDS Portal. Please set up the parent Infinite Campus account first. The same username will be shared with Schoology to set up your parent account in Schoology. Because each login reflects the person associated with the username, it is recommended that a separate account is created for each parent.
- Usernames can be comprised of letters, numbers, the underscore, and dash.
- Please refrain from creating a username that is all numbers, as that will interfere with student data here in our district.
- After completing the setup of your parent portal account, please allow 24 hours for your new account information to be sent to Schoology before attempting to log into your Schoology parent account.
