Mrs. Bruni's Book Spotlight
The Book Jumper by Mechthild Glaser
"After a stressful year, sixteen-year-old Amy Lennox and her single mom Alexis travel to Alexis’s childhood home in Stormsay, an island off the coast of Scotland. They stay with Amy’s grandmother, Lady Mairead, in the family’s mansion, but on one condition: Lady Mairead insists Amy read. Only not read in the traditional sense.
The Lennox family, as well as their neighbors/rivals the Macalisters, come from a long line of book jumpers, those with the power to travel into the books they read. Their sole mission is to protect the literary world. But upon Amy’s arrival, someone is destroying stories. Now it is up to Amy and her new friend Will to get to the bottom of this mystery before the disaster makes its way into the real world." - Jillian the Bookish Butterfly Blog
