Oh, what a Friday night part 3!!! Great Job by our Football Team on beating Sparkman in overtime! Thank you to our Cheerleaders, Band, Dance Team, JROTC, and OUR AWESOME STUDENT SECTION that supported our team ALL game! Our football team travels to Florence on Friday night. The Dress-up theme on Friday is "Flag Florence" (Patriotic Attire.)

We have several activities this week, Band will be performing @ Brewer, the Volleyball team will be playing their first Area match at Bob Jones, the Flag Football team will be traveling to Lee, the Cross Country team will be competing @ Fairview and our swim team will have their first meet of the year. Good luck to all our students. Go Bears.

• College Fair is scheduled from 12:00 - 2:00 on Monday, September 9. Classes will eat at their normal lunch times.

• Students will use the stairs at the end of the FACS hall to enter the gym.

• 12:01 - 12:26 - A and C lunches will attend the college fair.

• 12:30 - 12:55 - D lunch will attend the college fair.

• 12:59 - 1:24 - B lunch will attend the college fair - If any of these students have CAD or Co-op 4th Block they will need to take their bookbag to the fair.

• Homecoming shirts will be Gildan Soft Sleeve Shirts this year.
• They will be $20 and all orders are due by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 20.
• Shirts will be delivered to your home school the week of homecoming.

• If you enjoy reading, laughter, and talking, join the Austin High Reading Cafe Book Club! We meet at the end of each month during A-Hop in the Media Center. We always have snacks.

• Mrs. Georgina Cross, the international author, will come to our first meeting on Sept. 25.

• Contact Ms. Sabrina Smith to sign up during lunch or in the media center and get a copy of the book! Sign-up ends on Sept. 13.

• If you are interested in being a leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) for the Thursday sessions that we will have during A-hop, please email Mr. Tassone at paul.tassone@dcs.k12.al.us.
• This does not mean you have to speak in front of people, there are other ways to lead and we will have leadership training for you.
  

• Do you want to play a positive role in helping the environment? Come join the Recycling Team.

• There will be a wrestling interest meeting on Tuesday, September 10th in the cafeteria after announcements at the beginning of 2nd block.
