CES Happenings

Dear CES Family,

CES students have been learning about gratitude during the month of November: being thankful for something and also showing appreciation for that which we are thankful. The CES staff, in an expression of gratitude for the amazing students that we serve, provided each student with their own Volcano sweatshirt last Monday. The CES staff is comprised of forty full and part-time people, in addition to numerous substitute staff. We are all so very grateful for our students and our families. Thank you for the opportunity to work with and educate your children. We are honored to do so.

Drug & Alcohol Awareness

One of the things that we owe our students is educating them regarding the dangers of the world around them. Among those dangers are that of drugs and alcohol. With this in mind, our fifth and sixth-grade students received a visit from the Plumas Unified School District Prevention Coordinator, Ashley Boyd, and the Chester High School Peer Educator Group. It was a great opportunity four these students to learn accurate facts about drugs and alcohol and the risks associated with their use in a safe classroom environment.

Volcano Spirit Wear!

Thanks to parent volunteer Tanya Miller, we have a website set up for selling quality Volcano spirit wear! Click here to access the website. It's open until December 13. Delivery time is estimated to be two to three weeks. Sorry, won't make it for Christmas! We will re-open the website periodically throughout the year.
