Winter Break
Please note that Winter Break is just around the corner. We have school up to and including this Friday, December 23rd. We will resume classes on Monday, January 9th.
Whatever your plans are over the coming weeks, I hope that you all have a safe and relaxing time off of school.

Drop Off Lane
Note: You can begin dropping off students in the drop-off lane at 8:10 A.M. We have been getting really backed up at about 8:20 A.M. and cars until 8:35 A.M. To avoid this, please consider dropping off students earlier as between 8:10 A.M. - 8:20 A.M.the line is much shorter.
With cold temperatures and difficult weather will become more normal, we are going to experience a larger number of families that are utilizing our Drop Off Lane.
When using the Drop Off Lane, please note:
- When entering the drop-off lane, pull up as far as you can. When stopping your car, if you are anywhere along the purple curb, please have your student(s) exit the vehicle and walk on the sidewalk.
- Students should walk directly onto the sidewalk. From there, walk along the sidewalk to Door 2.
- Please be patient while using the Drop Off Lane.

Covington Winter Carnival
Our Winter Carnival is taking place on Friday, December 23, the last day of school before break.
The Winter Carnival is an annual event for Covington students during school hours. We will have multiple stations that the students will get to enjoy, including a craft station, bounce houses, and a presentation hosted by the Children's Museum. With parental permission, a pizza lunch will be provided by the Covington PTO. If a student opts out of the pizza lunch, they will need to bring lunch from home as there will be no hot lunch that day.

Staff Luncheon
A note from our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO):
To show our appreciation for our entire Covington faculty and staff (approx. 86), and to kick off the start of break, we would like to gift each faculty and staff member $5 gift cards, as well as provide a catered lunch on December 23, the last day of school before break.
In order to make this possible, we are asking our Covington families to consider donating to our Gift Card Fund. If you choose to donate, please mark it on the Sign Up and have your monetary donation for the gift card sent to the school in an envelope marked Covington PTO Gift Cards by December 19th.
We are also looking for volunteers to provide snacks, desserts, and beverages to accompany the catered lunch for the Faculty & Staff Holiday Luncheon. All snacks and beverages are to be dropped off at the school by 9:00 A.M. on December 23rd.

Title I Family Nights
We have several Title I Family Nights occurring in our second half of the school year. Make a note and save the date for the following events:
- Game Night - Wednesday, January 25th from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.
- STEM Night - Wednesday, March 22nd from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.
- Parents and PJs Reading Night - Wednesday, May 17th from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.
