Tomorrow is Veterans Day and we would like to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served in our military. Their sacrifices and dedication to our country inspire us all. Thank you for your service.
On Friday, we recognized our Students of the Month during STING time. We want to congratulate those students who were honored and thank them for their hard work, kindness, respectful and encouraging attitude, as well as their exceptional leadership and self advocacy skills. These are just a few of the attributes that were shared about this month's students. Congratulations!
On Friday, students also received their first quarter report cards during homeroom.
Say Something Anonymous Reporting System
As required by state law, Wake County Schools is implementing an anonymous tip system. Specifically, Say Something will allow for students, parents, and others to submit tips online or through their phone at any time. We are fortunate at our school that students and parents choose to trust the adults in their lives and share critical information with the school. The implementation of Say Something does not replace existing methods of reporting information to the school or law enforcement but rather adds another tool. On November 12th during STING time, HRMS will engage in the student training for this system. The training will focus on identifying warning signs, ways to connect with a trusted adult, and ways to report concerns. This is a pre-recorded presentation from Say Something/Sandy Hook Promise. Please note that students are not required to use the reporting system. This program will further enhance the student protections we have in place.
6th/7th Grade NEON Friends-Giving Dance: Friday, November 15th: 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
This Friday, we will have our 6th and 7th grade Dance. Permission slips went home with students on Friday. Any student who would like to attend the dance must return a signed permission slip by Thursday.
