How We Express Ourselves: Week 4
Kindergarten Classes at Makowski BPS #99
Central Idea: A person’s expression is a demonstration of cultural influence and personal creativity.
- Everyone has a unique point of view
- Literature and artistic expression come from various cultures
- Creativity helps solve problems and expresses a perspective
- You are the author of your own story
Week 4: How do you express yourself?
Bringing it all together!
---->We've talked about point of view. Point of view is the perspective from which a story is told. It is the way you (as the story teller) see something. We also took a look at the same event from different points of view. Perspective is about understanding different points of view and being thoughtful of what other people think.
---->We've explored similar stories from different cultures or places in the world and compared them. We saw that each person has their own point of view and perspective that is shaped by their experiences and cultural influences. It is important for us to surround ourselves with many points of view!
---->But what do we do now? We create! This week is your turn to tell your story. You will use what you have already learned about point of view, experiences, and influences. On this site are various forms of artistic representation; use them for guidance or examples, and then create something that represents YOU!
WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU HAVE CREATED!
What will you create?
- Write a story
- Draw a picture
- Choreograph a dance
- Write or play music
- Write a poem
- Paint
- Build
- ......
