CELEBRATIONS
Great things are happening at WCS!
This week six of our middle school students auditioned at the District 3 Festival for Honors Ensembles. This event was held at Camden-Rockport Middle School, and included hundreds of other seventh & eighth grader students from our district. We are so proud of how our musicians represented Woolwich through their leadership behavior, positive attitudes, and their strong effort.
NO SCHOOL MONDAY
There is no school on Monday, 11/11 as we pause for Veterans Day. Thank you to all who work to serve and protect our nation. We also recognize the military families whose sacrifices make that service possible.
INCOGNITO TURKEY CONTEST
It's November, and that means that the turkeys are getting nervous! Students have been sent home with blank turkeys to decorate for the PTA Incognito Turkey contest. Students should color their turkeys so they can remain disguised through Thanksgiving. Completed turkeys can be turned in to the entry box outside the office no later than 11/22 for a chance to win a prize.
CONFERENCE SIGN UP
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 12-6pm on Monday, November 25th. Parents are encouraged to sign up for a chance to meet with their student's teacher(s). To select an appointment time, click the following link, or visit our school website to find a link there. If you are not able to find a time that works for you, please reach out to your student's teacher to coordinate another date/time to meet.
WE'RE SNOW PROUD OF YOU!
WCS SPIRIT WEEK
Join us in celebrating our "Wildcat Pride" during WCS Spirit Week: Nov 18 - 22
Things to Talk About
- As the weather turns colder, please remember to send your students in with coats, hats and boots. We are outside just about every day for recess and movement breaks and want to be sure that everyone is able to participate.
- It is helpful for younger students to practice putting on their outerwear at home. It's a good chance for students to learn some independance...and relying on the teacher to help with coats, boots and mittens takes away from valuable recess time.
