Superintendent Update

Cliff's Notes
Dear Bedford Public Schools Community,
This week, our oldest students, BHS seniors had their last day of classes. We look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at graduation on June 6th. Meanwhile, many of our youngest students at Davis had their celebrations of learning with multi-grade and multi-sensory music performances and visits to classrooms with families. (One of the Davis School performances and the Class of 2024 are pictured below, and you can see a "making of" video of "In This World Together"" here!). I encourage us to heed the message of final song that the Davis students sang, "We're All In This Together," (by Mathew Gerard and Robbie Nevil) as we finish the last 3 weeks of school strong and work to lay a strong foundation for success in 2024-2025.
Sincerely,
Cliff Chuang 莊 宏 毅
Superintendent, Bedford Public Schools

Potential Future Educators from the BHS Class of 2024
Monday, May 20th, was the last day of school for our BHS seniors. Thirty-six of them who participated in the High School Senior Internship in Education Program (HSSIEP) received a $2,000.00 scholarship as part of completing the program. BHS handed out over $72,000.00 to its graduating seniors! HSSIEP is a program that is funded by the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education and managed by MASSHIRE, Youth Connections Department. The program was created to help grow the educator pipeline by engaging aspiring educators with paid internships that provide opportunities to explore the teaching profession in an authentic and meaningful way. Bedford High School has been participating in the program since 2021. Congratulations to these potential future educators.
We are happy to share a new series of profiles called Faces of Bedford prepared by volunteers from Bedford Embraces Diversity with technical support from Bedford TV, featuring members of our diverse community, many with connections to the Bedford Public Schools.
This week we are featuring long time, Bedford residents Mike Rosenberg & Bobbie Ennis. Bobbie moved to Bedford in September 1961 where they have resided ever since. Mike relocated with his family to Bedford from Central Vt. in 1973. To learn more, please view the video below.
