Message from Mrs. Shostachuk
Dear Central Road Families,
As the weather starts to shift and the leaves begin to change, I'm looking forward to highlighting the beauty of the fall season at Central Road School. Our goal is to get families excited about all the growth and discovery awaiting their children in the classroom. It's been wonderful to see the progress our students have made since the start of the school year. Many of them have shown impressive gains in their academic performance, as well as growth in their social-emotional skills and overall engagement in the learning process.
Thank you for taking time to read our communication. If you have any questions or concerns related to the information shared, please feel free to reach out at any time. We too thank you in advance for your flexibility, patience, and partnership. Our door(s) continue to always be open to listen and work together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, October 21st.
Mrs. Shostachuk

Halloween Celebration and Costume Guidelines for Thursday, October 31, 2024
We are very excited to celebrate Halloween this school year. We too thank our wonderful PTA and volunteers for supporting our event. Please kindly take a moment to review our plan and expectations for Thursday, October 31, 2024. We look forward to a memorable and fun time together. If your student cannot participate, please email your child’s teacher by October 25th.
Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school for the entire day. We have moved away from students changing during the noon hour. We look forward to students being able to wear their Halloween and/or fall gear for the day at school. Please review and follow the below guidelines when choosing a costume this year. Students will have a typical learning day until the afternoon festivities. Comfort is always key so please kindly keep this in mind when picking a costume for school.
2:00-2:15pm-Students will parade outside in their costumes. Parents/guardians are welcome to view the parade on the outside field located near the back of our building. This is pending good weather only. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be moved indoors for students only. We hope for favorable weather conditions for this fun event.
2:15-3:15 pm- Classroom Halloween parties will take place which are sponsored and organized by our PTA and our parent volunteers coupled with the support of our teachers. Food will NOT be served during the parties. There will be plenty of fun had by our students during this time with a variety of activities planned. Please also save any candy for after school. We will not be passing out candy in school.
*1:40 pm-Classroom Party set up may begin. Up to three (3) volunteers per classroom will be able to help during our scheduled classroom parties. All volunteers will check in the office and each teacher coupled with the support of our PTA will provide a list of the 3 volunteers who will be helping to the front office by October 25th. Parent volunteers are able to sign their child(ren) out at the conclusion of the classroom party if they choose to do so.
Students will be dismissed from school at 3:55 pm like typical.
