¡Celebremos en la clase de Español!
Students in Mrs. Nordquist's Spanish I-III classes celebrated Cinco de Mayo early with some cooking, eating, and reading about the origins of Cinco de Mayo. While many people think the holiday is Mexico's Independence Day, they are mistaken! Be sure to ask your student about what the holiday is, and what it isn't!
Lending a Helping Hand
Upperclassmen have been spending time visiting Westside, acting as positive role models, and helping students get excited about learning. Below, Ag students Ethan and Landyn help with reading time in the library, while Spanish III student Andra shares her expertise while playing Spanish BINGO.
Summer School: June 3-28
Summer School will be held June 3-28 at SHS. Summer school is an opportunity to make up credit for classes previously taken and failed. Applications for summer school will be available starting next week. Please contact the school with questions you may have.
FFA Wraps Up Year with Banquet
The Sisseton FFA Chapter celebrated a successful year of learning, competing, and volunteering, with their annual banquet held this last week. Pictured are Hunter and Taylor, busy helping with the prep work to host students and their families for the meal and meeting.
