AEHS Weekly Newsletter
October 27, 2024
Good evening, Einstein Community,
What a vibrant week filled with fun and excitement! It was wonderful to see our students celebrate the conclusion of Homecoming Week at the dance. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who dedicated their time and effort to make this event a success; our students will cherish these memories for years to come.
As we approach the end of the first quarter, please take a moment to review your child’s grades to ensure they finish strong. If you have any questions about assignments or grades, don’t hesitate to reach out to their teachers.
Looking ahead, Quarter 2 begins on November 6. Please note that there will be no school for students on November 4 and 5 due to teacher grading/reporting and Election Day.
If you have any questions regarding the information in the newsletter, please feel free to use AskAlbert or contact the school directly.
Let’s work together to finish Quarter 1 on a high note!
Best,
Justin Krop
Principal Intern.

May 2025 Exam Registration and Support Information for Parents - October 2024
This year, students register for AP exams by joining their course’s AP Classroom, which should have been completed in their AP class(es). Please check with your student to confirm they’ve joined the AP Classroom for each AP course that they are enrolled in.
How to Verify AP Exam Registration:
- Have your student log into their College Board account and check their dashboard.
If the course tile for their AP class appears, they are registered for the AP exam. See a screenshot of what the tile looks like on the Right->.
- If the tile is missing, they have not joined the AP Classroom and are not registered. They should contact their teacher for the join code and complete the steps linked in this guide to join their AP classroom(s).
Issues with College Board Accounts: If your student experiences login issues, they can contact the College Board help desk at 1-888-225-5427. Please provide our school code (210-677) and the AP Coordinator’s name, Lynette O'Reggio.

Poet Laureate (REPEAT)
The DMV Youth Poet Laureate Program is an effort that is organized by Words Beats & Life, a 22-year-old DC-based nonprofit in partnership with Urban Word NYC, the managers of the National Youth Poet Laureate Program. This program seeks to honor local young poets, MCs, and creative writers from across the region who demonstrate exceptional skill in the literary arts and a commitment to using their art to make a difference.
Our goal is to identify and encourage students who are passionate about poetry, spoken word, or creative writing to apply for this honor. Not only does this program provide an incredible platform for artistic expression, but it also offers professional development, mentorship, and performance opportunities, helping to develop the next generation of literary leaders.
The application deadline is November 1st, and we are particularly looking for young people aged 13-19 with a passion for using their creative talents to make a difference in their communities.
Please visit DMV Youth Poet Laureate (https://wblinc.org/dmvypl) to learn more and for students to apply.
