Message from Mrs. Magee
Dear St. Joseph Families,
This week is shaping up to be a busy one as we wrap up MAP testing. Next week, any students who weren't able to finish their MAP testing will have the opportunity to finish their tests up. When all tests are completed, we will be able to send home their Growth Reports.
We have also been busy preparing for our annual Catholic Schools Week event. This year's kick-off will be taking place on Sunday, January 26th at 10:30 am Mass. Following mass, all are welcome to join us in the school cafeteria as the Knights of Columbus host their annual Spaghetti Luncheon. This is always such a fun week on campus as we celebrate the history and tradition associated with Catholic Schools.
Next week, our students will have the opportunity to try out for our Spring musical "Finding Nemo" and our tennis teams will begin practicing for their upcoming season. We have jumped right back into the school year and haven't missed at beat!
Stay warm and enjoy this long weekend!
Sincerely in Christ,
Mrs. Courtney Magee

Change to School Calendar in February 2025
A change has also been made to the school calendar for this school year. The original schedule had an eLearning Day scheduled for Tuesday, February 18th so that the teachers could attend an inservice in Huntsville. However, the planned inservice is now on Friday, February 14th. Our eLearning Day will be on Friday, February 14th, and school will be in session on Tuesday, February 18th. If you already have plans scheduled for that day based on the calendar that was put out earlier this year, just let the office know, and we will excuse the absence.
The application for School CHOOSE funds opened on January 2, 2025. There will also be a meeting on campus at the end of January or first of February to help you with this process and to answer any questions you may have. Applications are not on a first come first serve basis and are approved based on the following criteria:
- Be a resident of Alabama
- Have an household income that does not exceed 300% of the federal poverty guideline for the 2024 tax year
Please click on the picture above for more information.
Lands End Uniforms
We are still working towards a contract with Lands End and are currently awaiting more samples. If you are in need of pants for your child, you may find a traditional pair of their uniform pants here while the performance pants are located here. The traditional khaki pants of either style will stay in our clothing options for next school year as well, so you are welcome to purchase new here or shop at our used uniform closet.
