Dear Families,

Happy New year! It's been an eventful first week back to remote learning. The staff was excited to see your wildcats' faces and hear about their adventures over the break. There was even some action on Willow Hill!

It's reassuring that despite the turmoil elsewhere, that school, even in remote form, remains a constant. Constant in the dedication of our staff to your student's learning and constant in being a safe place to grow both emotionally and academically.

Your wildcat's journey is a partnership, with each of us having a special role. I know that with continued collaboration, honest communication, and our mutual love for your wildcat, we can make this year memorable for all the right reasons.

Weekly Book Blurb- "When I Grow Up, Misty Copeland"

When I Grow Up, Misty Copeland is a Scholastic Level 3 reader biography. Lexi Ryals’ story about the famous ballerina’s life is written in an easy to read, factual, timeline format, with a motivational section at the end to remind the reader that with hard work and determination you can achieve your dreams too. Also included is a glossary used to define many of the ballet terms used in the book. While not available at the Homewood Public Library, it can be found at the Glenwood-Lynwood and Matteson Public Libraries.
