Weekly Update
Holy Trinity Catholic School October 3rd. 2024
Our Mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
to provide a high-quality education,
and to guide children in living the Catholic faith
Prayer
Peace Prayer of Saint Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
A Note from Mrs. Longden
As I have begun my 5th year as principal at Holy Trinity Catholic School, and we are just over a month in, I can confidently say that this year has been the smoothest beginning to the school year yet (yes, I'm constantly knocking on wood). I feel a strong sense of positivity, community, faith, and love daily at school. Whether it be "hellos" in the parking lot, or watching a student help another student pick up their dropped items, I have seen a significant number of students, families, and staff modeling our virtues and expectations. Thank you. This modeling is all made possible by you as a family in conjunction with the staff.
While it has been more on the logistical side, I've been delighted with the quality of extracurricular activities that are going on at school this fall. A lot is happening at school between middle school girls' volleyball, school choir, and band/orchestra lessons. I've been pleased to see that children have signed up for these extracurricular opportunities. I also hope the additional extracurricular activities have enriched your children's experience.
I pray that everyone's school year has started well, and here is to a great 2024 - 2025 school year at Holy Trinity Catholic School!
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
Theme
Father Patrick has picked a theme for this year for our school:
To Jesus we go, through Mary
During our staff retreat, Father Patrick shared the theme with us and ways we can grow closer to Mary. Mary helps us to know Jesus in a deeper way. Our goal is to continue to deepen our relationship with Jesus, with the help of Mary. We want to follow Mary's example and be close to Jesus during the events in our life.
