Bowie Brings Fiesta Flair with Creative Shoebox Parade
¡Viva Fiesta! In true San Antonio spirit, our students joined the citywide celebration by creating their very own miniature parade floats—crafted from shoeboxes and bursting with color, creativity, and culture! From papel picado to tiny cascarones, each float showcased the joy and tradition of Fiesta while highlighting student imagination. What a fun and festive way to honor a beloved local tradition right here in San Marcos at our Bowie Elementary campus!

San Marcos CISD Shoutout - Newcomer Welcome Center
Last Thursday, the Multilingual Services Department hosted its final "Do You Know... Awareness" session. It's amazing to look back to our very first session, where we began with just a few families. Now, this picture represents so many generations! We couldn't have achieved this without the support of our families and local community partners. A huge thank you to GEAR UP, Mano Amiga SM, Greater San Marcos Youth Council, Centro Cultural Hispano, Cenikor, San Marcos Housing Authority FSS program, Youth Service Bureau, Ceasar Caballero with the City of San Marcos, Randy and John McGrady-Beach with First Presbyterian Church, Sylvia Benavides with Community Action, Inc., San Marcos Workforce Solutions, and Mendez Elementary.
