Chromebooks for Next Year
Class of 2029 (Current Seventh Graders): Students returning for eighth grade will keep their Chromebook over the summer and use it again in eighth grade.
Class of 2028 (Current Eighth Graders): Students will have their Chromebooks collected on June 12 and 13 during PE classes. At that time they will receive their new Chromebook for high school. In order to receive a new Chromebook, the Chromebook turned in must be in good working condition. In the event there are damages to the Chromebook that must be repaired, a new Chromebook will not be issued until that financial obligation is paid in full. This same policy applies to chargers as well.
For students leaving the district, regardless of grade, the Chroebook issued must be returned to the school as part of the regular sign out process.
PTSC
The PTSC Clothing Drive starts April 29th and ends on May 13th. THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND!
If you are looking to declutter and clean out your closets, here is where you can donate that extra clothing and other household items. The PTSC uses the donated clothing to raise money to support student activities and provide money for scholarships. Donations should be bagged and dropped off at the middle school pole barn. The pole barn can be accessed via North Island Road. Directional signs will be posted to help find the pole barn. If it is after hours, leave the bagged items in front of the pole barn. Please see the flier below for additional information.
Middle School Schedule for 2024-25 School Year
As you may have heard, the middle school schedule will be changing slightly next year. Currently, students take a full year of math and English and these classes are complemented by a semester math and English class. We will be reorganizing the schedule next year so that students will have a single math and English class that will be the equivalent of one and a half class periods. This will provide students with a longer, daily instruction time in these key subjects with a single teacher, as opposed to the multiple classes and teachers in the current schedule. This change will allow for deeper understanding of the topic and with a consistent instructor. The other classes will remain the same.
There will be a brief presentation on these changes at 6:30 pm on May 14 in room 245. This will be right before the choral concert if you want to stay for that show.

Clinical Corner
May is Arthritis Awareness Month, Better Sleep Month, National Walking Month, Women’s Health Care Month, Military Appreciation Month(Shout out to Tracie Kritch and Shannon Pagano for helping to make our military students feel so supported!), Better Speech and Hearing Month(Special Thanks to our Speech Pathologist Tracy Nagy!), Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and lastly, Mental Health Awareness Month! In honor of that I thought I would accentuate a few tools that we have right at our fingertips to monitor/improve our mental health:
The Health App on your iphone now has a mental health questionnaire that is quick yet thorough and gives you a snapshot of your mental health at the end with recommendations.
Insight Timer is a free app that has meditative music of all sorts as well as guided meditations that you can customize to your busy schedule with ones as short as 5 minutes.
The Calm App is $70 a year and many people say the cost is worth it
The Habit Rabbit App has a fun and interactive way to help you stick to good habits
