About This Training...
This training will provide research, exploration, and practice using assistive technology to support Preschool students who are pre-verbal communicators. We will discuss the importance of embedding assistive technology into daily classroom routines and collaboration between the speech/language pathologist and classroom staff. Participants will learn about different types of commonly used assistive technology and will practice incorporating AT during a variety of typical routines (e.g. Circle Time, Centers, meal time). This training is appropriate for classroom teachers, intervention specialists, related service providers, paraprofessionals, and administrators who serve Preschool students with disabilities.
