Canned Food Drive Winners
Congratulations to the Bunker Hill Elementary School Boys for winning the Canned Food Drive competition between the boys and the girls.
WV State Fire Safety Poster Winner
Congratulations to our very own WV State Fire Marshall Fire Safety poster contest winner, Gracelynn! State Fire Marshall Tyree drove all the way from Charleston to present her awards! She received a framed copy of her poster, plus, her poster will be featured on one of the month's pages in the upcoming WV State Fire Safety calendar. We are so proud of Gracelynn!
A special thanks to Ms. Pratt's efforts and initiative in involving her students in such a contest!

1st Nine Weeks Student Attendance Class Competition Winners
The 1st Nine Weeks Attendance Awards went to the following classes: Ms. White's Class (Kindergarten); Mrs. Castro's Class (1st Grade); Ms. Smith's Class (2nd Grade); Ms. Coleman's Class (3rd Grade). Congratulations to these winners! Attendance matters! Our hope is that everyone, including students and parents, will understand how critical attendance is to excellence in teaching and learning. Every student matters. Every day matters.
Dance Your Trunk Off Trunk or Treat Winning Trunk
This year's Dance your Trunk Off Trunk or Treat included a DJ for dancing, plus games and activities to occupy the kids. The Dance Your Trunk Off winning trunk was Candy Land.
Crosswalks at Parent Pick up/Drop off
Noninstructional Activity Form
Parents must complete a request for this non-instructional activity five school days prior to the first day of school absence.
Families may request one non-instructional activity per year with no more than five total days of absences. Any additional days will be considered unexcused absences.
To be eligible, students must not be chronically absent. Their attendance rate must be over 90%.
Students must turn in all make-up work within the allotted time. They have one day for each day that they were absent.
The absence code is ANONINST. This is an excused absence code. If all work is not completed and received on time, these absences will be unexcused.
Gravel Parking Lot Extension Note
Please be aware that there is a one-way entrance and exit to the gravel parking lot extension. We ask that you park facing the paved parking lot and that you fill up spaces closest to the school first. Please obey the "DO NOT ENTER" sign.
Excused Absence Notes
Did you know that, if your child misses school, you can complete a parent or doctor's note online at this link? You can also send a traditional not to school or message your teacher on Seesaw.
