Bethel Bypass is a fundraiser we do twice a year where parents can purchase tickets to win a chance at skipping car line and picking up their children on the bus loop....no more waiting!! Tickets are $1 and the money can be sent in with your child, or a parent can come to the office and purchase tickets on January 22nd and 23rd. The 10 winners will be drawn on Friday, January 24th. KARE classes 💞
Please see the following information about our Partnership with KARE
At Bethel Elementary School your child’s safety and well-being are important to us. We have partnered with KARE, Kids Advocacy Resource Effort, to provide personal safety education to our students. KARE is a non-profit organization located in Waynesville that is dedicated to preventing child abuse and advocating for children who have been abused, neglected, or exploited. All of the elementary schools in our district use KARE as a resource.
The letter attached was sent home last week. Please return it if you do NOT want your child to participate in the KARE classes. Thanks!
Bus Update 🚌
Thanks for your patience this past week with the bus changes!
Winter weather in the mountains means roads may be closed for school bus travel. Our number one goal is keep our precious students safe. The Haywood County Schools Transportation Department does a great job of checking road conditions at least 2-3 times daily and letting us know what roads our buses can and cannot be traveled. We then relay that message to all of you. Mrs. Fama has done a great job being over buses at BES and has set up a Remind for all of our separate buses. If your child is a bus rider and you are not on Remind, please let Mrs. Fama know at efama@haywood.k12.nc.us thanks!! Moving forward, if we send out a message in the morning about road closures and places buses won't travel, those same roads will not be traveled in the afternoon. Thanks for your patience!!
