EOSullivan - Phase II Update | watch
Collin Corbett from EOSullivan presented community engagement feedback results for Phase 2 of the process. Click here for the report.
Parent Teacher Advisory Committee (PTAC) Update | watch
Director of Student Services Laurel O’Brien and Benjamin Franklin School Principal Jeff Burke presented a summary of the PTAC work this past school year. This school year the committee focused on reviewing the bullying policy and offered recommendations to the district. Click here for the presentation.

Superintendent Report | watch
Dr. Kaczkowski provided an update on the Strategic Plan work that has already begun across the district. We are finalizing the structure and purpose for each new subcommittee that is being created based on the strategic plan. Applications to join the committees will also be communicated and information will be posted on the district website. Dr. Bruno announced Board member assignments to the Subcommittees.

Board Policy Revisions - First Reading
Mrs. Buttimer shared the revisions that are being suggested by PRESS.
Rhithm Resource Adoption | watch
District 41 completed a pilot of a new individual student daily check in resource Rhithm. The district is planning on a larger implementation this coming school year.
Copy Paper Bid | watch
Mr. DePorter explained that we are rejecting all of the bids as we will go through the State of Illinois copy paper contract due to dramatically increased costs and significant supply issues. The district will purchase paper utilizing the available State of Illinois paper contract.
SHIELD Testing 2022-2023 School Year | watch
Dr. Kaczkowski shared that the district is recommending to not continue SHIELD testing at the start of next school year. The district can revisit it again if there is a need later in the year.

Approval of the 2022-2026 Teachers' Agreement Between District 41 Board of Education and Glen Ellyn Education Association
Dr. Bruno noted that Board and GEEA bargaining teams reached tentative agreement late last month on a four year collective bargaining agreement beginning July 1, 2022 and running through June 30, 2026. The agreement provides for salary increases of 3% the first year, 5% the second year and consumer price based increases the third and fourth years with a minimum increase of 1.75% and a maximum increase of 5%. Increases and adjustments in extra-duty pay, which have not been adjusted for the past three contracts, were agreed upon as were changes in teacher work schedules to increase the effectiveness of professional development. The GEEA membership approved the contract about a week ago and Board approval is recommended this evening.
