Our Wildcats have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming Talent Show on March 20 at 5:00 PM. We can't wait to see our Wildcats showcase their incredible talents!


Our lost and found area is getting quite full. If your student has any missing personal items, please ask them to stop by lost and found to pick them up.


We are looking forward to another wonderful week at Pomerado!

Pomerado Family Math Night

Join us for a Family Math Night on Thursday, 3/27, in the MPR. We we will showcase our problem based math program as well as strategies to support your student at home.


Student are welcome to attend with you. :)

2025-2026 Online Continuing Student Registration

Online Continuing Student Registration will be open from February 28 - March 31, 2025. We must receive a completed digital packet for all returning students. This will allow for proper placement of your student(s) for the 2025-2026 school year. This annual digital process allows a family to complete one single β€œfamily” packet instead of completing one packet per student. Packets can be completed using any computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection.


Continuing Registration Steps:

  1. Login and complete the digital registration packet via the online registration portal found here.

  2. Review and complete any required forms located at the conclusion of the process. A packet is not considered finalized until this step is completed.


Please note: THERE WILL BE AN ENROLLMENT CONFIRMATION PROCESS IN AUGUST AND YOUR PARTICIPATION WILL BE ESSENTIAL TO ENSURE A SMOOTH START TO THE SCHOOL YEAR.


Please note: MEDICATION FORMS and ADDITIONAL SIGNED SITE SPECIFIC FORMS WILL NOT BE COLLECTED UNTIL SCHOOL BEGINS IN AUGUST FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR.

TK is a Full Day Program for 2025-26

Full Day TK in Poway Unified!

We have some exciting news regarding our district’s TK program! Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, PUSD Transitional Kindergarten will be a full-day program.


The range of age-eligibility will also expand - children who turn four-years-old on or before September 1, 2025, will be age-eligible for TK. (Students who turn five-years-old on or before September 1, 2025 will be age-eligible for Kindergarten). Enrollment for TK for 2025-26 school year opens on April 1, 2025. Please feel free to share this news with your friends and neighbors who have children in this age range.

Other Enrollment Information

Here are some important information that may pertain to your family:

  • Transfer window for 2025-26 school year will close on March 31, 2025 at 5 p.m.


    If you live within the Poway Unified boundaries and want your child to attend a school different than your assigned school, submit your request online through the Transfers page on the PUSD website. (This includes siblings of current students.) Please make sure to still enroll your child at their assigned school of residence when new student enrollment opens on April 1, 2025. Transfer requests can only be processed once your child is enrolled in their school of residence.

  • New Student Enrollment - beginning on April 1st at 8:00 am, new student enrollment opens on the Poway Unified website. We are excited to welcome our new students!

March Restaurant Fundraiser on Friday, 3/14

Our next restaurant fundraiser to benefit our 5th graders will be on Friday 3/14 at Tony Pepperoni in Rancho Bernardo. Grab a pizza pie for PI day. The restaurant will donate 20% of the proceeds back to Pomerado.


Save the Date: Talent Show on Thursday, March 20th

Our Wildcats are practicing and getting ready to show off their talents at our annual Talent Show. It will be from 5-7pm in the MPR on Thursday, March 20th. We are looking for volunteers for student supervison during rehearsals, student supervision during the Talent Show, and for the concession stand before and during intermission. DELAC (District English Learner Advisory Committee) Meeting

Our next DELAC meeting is Wednesday, March 12th, at 6pm at the District Office. You are cordially invited to attend this meeting with your DELAC representative. At this meeting, we will be looking at the results of our engagement survey and will engage with one another to gather input from parents along with brainstorming ways to continue to support our English Learner families. Your time is precious and we would gladly appreciate you attending to support the hard work of your parents!
