Spaulding News
We made it through our first full week of school! It is very common during the beginning month of school for the students to come home tired as they are adjusting to the schedule and new routines. Rest assured they will quickly build their stamina as the gain new habits.
Drop Off/Pick Up - Thank you for your cooperation with following the drop off/pick up procedures! Please be sure to share the protocols with caregivers who may be picking your child(ren) up as well. Please let them know, there are many adults that can help assist your child in and out of the cars. If your child needs assistance with buckling, have them slowly pull up to the front of the line so other cars can safely exit around them.
Open House for grades 1-4 will be on Sept. 24th from 5-7pm . This is a wonderful event for parents/caregivers to meet the teacher and learn about our curriculum. The information shared is lengthy and will cover grade level programming and classroom procedures, therefore it is not appropriate for children. Please see the flyer attached regarding specific times for each grade level, to minimize overcrowding in the building and parking lots.
Back to School Pictures are coming up on Friday, Sept. 27th, you should be receiving a flyer next week.
Breakfast/Lunch - While breakfast and lunch are free for the school year, any a la carte items are not - which includes milk. If your child(ren) is buying only milk, he/she will be charged .75. As the cafeteria is not accepting cash at lunches, it would be best to put money on your child's lunch account.
