Weekly Update
October 30, 2024
From the Principal
Dear Aquin Families,
Tomorrow is Halloween and we are going to be doing our Annual Halloween parade at 2:45 PM. Parents are invited to attend. We will be in the gym, so please enter through the gym doors if you want to attend. Also, please park in a parking space and not the pickup line if you are planning to attend. This will help traffic flow when the day is over at 3 PM. We will have our regular weekly Mass on Friday instead of Thursday this week in honor of All Saints Day.
With Halloween falling during the week, I ask that you carefully consider sending candy to school with lunches. We do not mind a piece or two (more than one leads to unnecessary pressure to share with others), but we will try to be sure students eat their main lunches before candy.
This week the 5th & 6th grade basketball forms were sent home. Please check with your child if you have not seen it yet. We do have extras in the office if it failed to make it home. All questions about the program need to be directed to the OAA, as we are only passing along the forms. It seems like there is a good amount of interest among students for both the boys and girl's teams. We do require a sports physical for athletes, so this is required for 5th grade. In grade 6 the general school physical meets the requirement.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp
Trick or Treat Trail
Thank you to Mrs. Stauffer, Kelly & Abby, and Mrs. Peska, Michael, Nicholas and Victoria for manning the Aquin table at the Trick or Treat Trail! Your costumes were great, and we were able to spread news about our school to many people. Great job!
