Week of November 11, 2024
Hello Northridge Elementary families,
We have a big week ahead.....so much excitement....
- Monday, November 11, we will celebrate Veterans Day
- Wednesday, November 13th is World Kindness Day- Kindness Day was born when a collection of humanitarian groups came together on November 13, 1997, and made a “Declaration of Kindness”. Likewise, on Kindness Day everyone is encouraged to make a similar declaration. Donating books, food, or clothes to your local community is a great way to celebrate.
- Friday, November 15th- we will celebrate our Students of the first Trimester, K-5
- Friday, November 15th- First Trimester report cards and progress reports sent home with children. Please watch for these. It was a great first trimester. The children worked hard.
- Next weekend....our NR Middle School is performing the Wizard of Oz (see below)
Thank you for attending our Trunk or Treat! We had such a great turn out. We also thank our teachers and community members for dressing up in costumes and setting up great trunks to enjoy AND for all the wonderful books and treats which were handed out!!! The families looked awesome as you visited. Thank you Mr. and Mr. Kibler for the great music. Check out the video feed on the Northridge School Facebook page. It is so great and promises to make you smile!!
On Monday, November 11th, we will celebrate VETERANS DAY with the rest of the country. We will have a few veterans speak, songs, and special readings to teach us all about the wonderful Veteran Heroes in our school and community. To involve everyone......kids are invited to wear red, white or blue.....or patriotic clothes to celebrate on Veterans Day, November 11th. The school has our family veterans displayed throughout the building.....the children are so proud. Thanks for participating!
If You See Something, Say Something We want everyone to be safe! The Stay Safe Speak Up Student Hotline is for students and parents to report concerns which may affect the peace of mind of students or jeopardize the safety of people or school facilities. Concerns may include but are not limited to, bullying, abuse, bomb threats, cyber crimes, discrimination, drugs, health concerns, suspicious behavior, vandalism, fighting, & weapons. Reporting information helps us maintain school environments that are safe and conducive for learning.
Save the date! Our 2nd and 3rd grade winter music program is Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 pm in the Northridge Elementary Auditeria. Attached, you will see the letter that students brought home with great information. Below, Ms. Rodesh linked Google Folders with the lyrics and recordings for each song. You can access them by scanning the QR codes on the attached letter, as well. Ms. Rodesh will send updates when speaking roles have been assigned and added to the Google Folder. Please let her know if you have any questions or concerns. The songs are sounding beautiful and we are so excited to share them with you!
