Thank you for your commitment to building relationships with our Bison community this upcoming Month. It’s great to connect with you all during morning arrival, Coffee with the Principals, and I hope to see you at PTA’s Zumba event where we will continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Our goal is for every family to feel connected to our bison community. It’s through intentional partnership that we can grow and support our young bison. Please feel free to connect with Ms. Landeros, our community Liaison, for more information about how you can get connected as a volunteer or join one of our amazing parent organizations such as PTA, SBDM, or Rosemont Dads Club.
Its truly hard to believe that next week we step into the month of October. I often joke that at Rosemont Upper we “do all of the things, all of the time” and it is one of the things that I appreciate most about our community. Together, we offer so many opportunities to connect and engage in events and programming outside of regular academic instruction. If you’ve had a chance to look ahead at the October calendar, you’ll see that we really live this to the fullest. Throughout the upcoming month, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week, Bullying Prevention Week, Career Day, Principal for a Day, and Boo Bash. In addition, our students will take their first Standards Mastery checks (think of this as an end of quarter assessment) and our 8th graders will take the PSAT. Please partner with us to help our students balance the excitement of the upcoming festivities and the importance of their upcoming assessments. I encourage you to check the Community Calendar and this newsletter very closely over the next few weeks. Together, we charge forward into another great month.
