KV Toy Store Brings Joy to Many Families
The Keith Valley Middle School Toy Store, organized by the KV Student Council, transformed the school's main lobby into a haven of holiday joy. Families in need were invited to "shop" for their children, selecting from an array of brand-new toys generously donated by students, families, and community organizations.
This heartwarming initiative filled not only the toy store tables but also the hearts of families facing challenges during the holiday season. The overwhelming support from generous contributors has turned this project into a resounding success, creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of community support. As children's smiles light up with joy, it serves as a reminder that small acts of kindness can truly make a big difference.
Harmony Throughout Hatboro-Horsham
During the month of December, music became the vibrant thread that wove through the community. Keith Valley Middle School students dazzled audiences with their musical talents during their band, orchestra, and choir concerts. The HHHS Madrigals ushered in the festive spirit, gracing schools throughout the district and lending their enchanting melodies to a Horsham Rotary meeting. The crescendo of musical brilliance came together as high school students united for a winter concert, collectively showcasing their exceptional talents.
The commitment to music education in the Hatboro-Horsham School District enriches the lives of participating students and contributes to the community's cultural vibrancy. We are very fortunate to have such talent within our presence.
Hatboro-Horsham Hosts Student Ambassadors
Hatboro-Horsham High School hosted the Montgomery County Cultural Proficiency and Equity Student Ambassador (CPSEA) Program on 12/14/23, bringing together high school students from several area school districts. The session's theme, "My Voice, My Impact," underscored the program's goal of fostering leadership and understanding in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The Hatboro-Horsham event exemplified the program's mission by uniting students from diverse backgrounds. As these young leaders collaborated and shared their experiences, they not only learned from one another but also laid the groundwork for a more inclusive and equitable educational landscape in Montgomery County. The CPSEA program, showcased through this gathering, highlights the potential impact of informed and passionate student ambassadors in shaping a positive and culturally proficient future within schools and communities.
Joining us for the event were high school students from Upper Dublin, Abington, North Penn, Lower Moreland, Cheltenham, Upper Moreland, Norristown, and Wallingford-Swarthmore.
HHHS Students Interview CEOs
High school students recently had their radio debut on Real World Leaders Radio, a nationally syndicated radio show that provides them with a unique platform to interview accomplished CEOs and top executives. In the latest episode, Emily Hoffman, Sophia Waynick, Lex Avallon, Charlie Brennan, and Madelyn Ortega Garcia, representing grades 10 to 12, engaged in insightful conversations with Kim Ramsey, Founder and CEO of Go! Ground Xpress, and Kim Dula, Tax Partner at Markum LLP. The students delved into the career pathways of these successful leaders, gaining valuable insights into their secrets to success. The interviews not only showcase the students' curiosity and enthusiasm but also serve as a fantastic opportunity for them to learn essential life and success lessons from industry experts. The recording of the episode is accessible for those who want to catch up on the engaging discussions.

Weather Emergency Information❄️
With winter here, we are prepared for how we will respond in the event of a school closure due to a weather emergency. Early morning weather announcements are sent via the website, social media, the district app, and phone calls. In the event of a school closure, the initial two weather emergency days in the academic calendar will follow the traditional "snow-day" approach, with schools being closed and no instruction occurring. However, beginning with the third weather emergency day (if needed), and for subsequent occurrences, we will implement a remote instructional model for the day. The remote instructional schedules are below for each academic level, featuring synchronous instruction—wherein the teaching will be conducted live with the guidance of the teacher.
