CLEARWATER STEAM NEWSLETTER

Last week, Clearwater hosted the County's District Site Science Leaders Community of Practice. We are proud to share the remarkable, rigorous, and engaging instruction that takes place in our classrooms, all designed to maximize the learning of every student.

The feedback from our visitors was incredibly positive and highlighted the following:

• Evidence of thoughtful planning and collaboration among teachers in every classroom.
• Student talk thrives across grade levels and subjects, encouraging active participation.
• Cross-curricular connections are abundant, including writing about PBLs, integrating ELA and math into science, and blending art with science.
• Classrooms are safe, supportive spaces where students collaborate, communicate, and learn.
• Students are engaged in rigorous learning—making meaning, thinking strategically, and justifying their reasoning.

As we head into parent conference week, we’re excited to see our students shine as they take the lead in their student-led conferences. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to share their growth, reflect on their learning, and celebrate their accomplishments with you. We are looking forward to an inspiring week ahead!

This Saturday’s ELEVO Soccer Tournament was a celebration of sportsmanship and teamwork! Teams from Clearwater, Sky View, Palms, and Perris gave it their all on the field, supported by their spirited cheerleaders who added to the energy and excitement. Every match was filled with incredible plays and determination. In the end, Clearwater took the trophy, bringing home the victory with pride. Congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and amazing performances—it was truly a day to remember! Thank you Elevo staff for organizing and planning the event! Thank you Piari and team for working and preparing our students for the tournament!

Last day to purchase tickets is on Monday, November 18. You can purchase your ticket for $6.25 in the school cafeteria between 9 -10:00 am. Please bring exact change or check. You can also purchase tickets in the nutrition office between 8 -3pm at 2221 South A Street Suite 202.

Perris Elementary School District, in partnership with Vision to Learn, brought an incredible opportunity to students at Clearwater this October! Throughout the month, students received free vision screenings, and those in need were fitted for glasses. Many students who already had glasses, received an extra pair. This week, 186 students eagerly received their new glasses, opening up a clearer, brighter world for their education and beyond.

BOOK FAIR STARTS MONDAY NOVEMBER 18TH!

There is so much learning going on every day at Clearwater - we don't want our students to miss a moment! As much as we like long weekends, missing a Monday or a Friday can have a big impact on students' achievement. We want to see every student at school, every day. Students earn Splash Cash for attending school each day, and DOUBLE the Splash Cash if they are at school every day for the week - including Monday and Friday.
