Pirate Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Live Oak Learning Center…Where a Pirate’s journey begins! We hope your summer was filled with adventures and fun, and that your family is ready to start a new school year with us. Live Oak Learning Center is certainly eager to meet our youngest Pirate scholars and families.
We are delighted to share with you our Pre-K through 2nd grade campus, a place dedicated to serving the youngest scholars in our district. Our campus, designed with early childhood in mind, is a nurturing environment where the foundation for lifelong learning begins. We focus on the development of core academic skills beginning with early literacy and math skills while also emphasizing social and emotional growth. The classrooms stimulate curiosity, creativity, problem solving, collaboration, and engaging hands-on experiences.
Our outdoor play areas offer a fun space for physical activity and exploration supporting the development of motor skills and social interactions. Additionally, the introduction of living habitats to our Pre-K-2 campus has brought an incredible sense of excitement and wonder to our young scholars. Their presence in our learning environment fosters empathy and responsibility among our scholars with opportunities instilling values of kindness and respect that extend beyond the classroom.
This year promises to be a year full of fun, discovery, and growth both academically and socially for all. Together, we will strive for excellence as we create a positive culture, engaging learning environment, and valuable learning experiences for our scholars. To achieve this, we believe parental involvement is a cornerstone of our campus culture. A strong partnership and open communication between home and school is essential to the success of our scholars. Please feel free to reach out to teachers or administrative staff with any questions or concerns that may arise throughout the year. Our dedication to teach your children anchors us in our work. Together we can encourage them, believe in them and empower each scholar to reach for greatness.
Our dedicated educators have been preparing for the return of our scholars, creating classrooms that are vibrant learning communities in which every child is valued and supported. We are excited to share our campus with you. It is going to be a fantastic school year! See you Tuesday!
Proud to be you Principal,
Mrs. Denise Poland
