The Martin Memo
A School Newsletter for Parents and Guardians
January 17, 2025
A Message from the Principal
Report cards were released and can be accessed through Skyward.
Monday is a holiday. We will see you on Tuesday, which is expected to be a cold day. The morning car line is typically longer on cold days so...
- leave your house earlier than usual
- make sure your child is ready to exit the car as soon as you get to the curb
- after your child exits the car, move to the left so the next group of cars can drive forward
This newsletter is packed with information about upcoming events including Valentine's Day, The Masked Singer, and The Kids Heart Challenge, so please make sure to read it all the way through.

Valentine's Exchanges

Students are welcome to bring Valentine's cards for their classmates. PTA room moms will be arranging a treat for each student. This is not a designated party day and therefore parents will not be able to attend.
Join the Great Backyard Bird Count!
Have you ever wondered how many birds visit your backyard? Now’s your chance to find out and be part of a global citizen science project!
The Great Backyard Bird Count takes place every February, and it’s super easy to get involved. All you need to do is:
1. Count the birds you see in your yard, balcony, or nearby park for just 15 minutes each day.
2. Submit your sightings online at birdcount.org.
3. Watch the magic unfold as you contribute to real-time bird population data!
It’s fun for the whole family, and you might just spot some species you’ve never noticed before. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with nature and make a difference for bird conservation.
