School Supplies
Did you know the average parent has to visit over two and a half retailers to get the supplies they need for the next school year? Think of the nightmare of visiting those big box retailers: the empty shelves, the crying babies, the demands for more things from your kids! Get the exact supplies your teacher requested with one click at 1st Day School Supplies, and turn that nightmare into a dream.

Summer Travel Info!
Dear TJH Parents,
We are inviting our TJH students to travel with teachers and students on our trip of a lifetime to Japan in Summer 2025. There is limited space on our tour and spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are holding a mandatory meeting for those who are interested in learning more about this opportunity (RSVP below).
Our Japan trip is a 9-day educational tour to Japan where we will visit Osaka, Kyoto, Fuji-Hakone-Izu region, and Tokyo!
Students can receive high school credit for attending this tour and recent studies have shown that students who participate in global education programs are more likely to get into the college of their choice and hold leadership positions on campus.
We are hosting a mandatory enrollment meeting on May 2nd at 6:00 pm in the LGI to answer your questions. If you are interested in your child participating in this experience, the deadline to sign up will be May 10th. EF is offering a $200 scholarship for all travelers who attend the meeting and enroll by the early enrollment deadline. We are expecting the trip to fill up before the deadline and space is strictly available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
You can lock in the price of the tour and reserve your spot by registering online at the meeting with just $95. The price of the tour will be revealed at the meeting, along with monthly payment plan information. I sincerely hope you will come and learn more.
Please RSVP by May 1st so we know how many people to expect: https://bit.ly/3PNveKB
Hope to see you there!
Dori Pruzan and Elizabeth Walls
This tour is not sponsored by Katy ISD.
Government Identification for Campus Visitors
Physical/Hard Copy Government-Issued Identifications
As Katy ISD continues its review of safety practices and protocols, it's essential to stress the significance of physical/hard copy government-issued identifications for accessing campuses/facilities, student registration, and student pickup. The district is strictly enforcing this requirement and will no longer accept paper or digital copies of driver's licenses, visas, and passports at any of its campuses or facilities, for these purposes. Katy ISD greatly appreciates the community's cooperation with these safety procedures and the ongoing partnership to maintain safe and secure environments across campuses.
Writing Camp
Join us for a writing adventure! KISD is offering a free writing camp June 3rd-6th for students currently in grades 6-11. Interested students can apply in their RLA classrooms.

When and How to Wash Your Hands
https://www.cdc.gov/handwashing/when-how-handwashing.html
How Germs Spread
Washing hands can keep you healthy and prevent the spread of respiratory and diarrheal infections. Germs can spread from person to person or from surfaces to people when you:
· Touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
· Prepare or eat food and drinks with unwashed hands
· Touch surfaces or objects that have germs on them
· Blow your nose, cough, or sneeze into hands and then touch other people’s hands or common objects
