Highlights of the week!

Dear Coleman Families,

It has been a busy few days for the Coleman Warriors! Our teachers have been conducting ELA and Math screeners to better understand where students are on the learning continuum. This important data will guide their decisions on pacing and how best to support each student’s progress. A quick reminder—the fall Mum sale is underway! Funds raised will help cover transportation costs for field trips and support exciting trimester assemblies, like past events featuring the Mad Scientist or the World Bird Sanctuary.

Don’t forget, the next PTO meeting is Monday, September 9th, at 6:30 PM.

Oasis Tutoring

Do you know someone 50+ who would be interested in helping a child learn to love reading and learning? Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers ages 50+ with children in grades K-3 to work one-on-one each week as their tutors, mentors and friends. They can tutor one child or several, on a one-on-one basis each week throughout the school year.

Birthday Celebrations

In compliance with our Healthy Generation School goals, Coleman will focus on healthy celebrations. Student birthdays will be recognized on our daily announcements.

To comply with the national health guideline, we do not accept birthday or holiday treats.

*Every student at Coleman Elementary will receive a birthday pencil and card from the office on their birthday.*
