With voter approval, the VATRE would generate $3.7 million annually in local funding and another $3.7 million annually in state funding for staff salaries and campus safety. Without voter approval, the district cannot access the $3.7 million annually in local funding, and likewise the district will not get the $3.7 million annually in state funding to be used for staff salaries and campus safety.

Lady Bear Basketball Tryouts
Football
The 8th Grade Football Teams hosted Schultz and McCullough Junior Highs this week at The Branch! The Grey team fought hard, but ended up losing to McCullough 0-24. The White team forced their 4th Shutout in a row and beat Schultz 21-0. The Blue team made an amazing comeback despite a lightning delay to beat the Bulldogs in the final seconds 34-30. The Bears will be back in action next week against Tomball and Peet Junior Highs.
Cross Country
The Bear Branch Junior High Cross Country team participated in a Cross Country meet Friday, 20th at Moorhead Junior High School. There were 10 teams and about 100 runners in each division. Below are the top 5 runners in each division. If you have any of these kids in class please congratulate them. Come out and cheer them on at the District meet at Spring Creek Park on Wednesday, Oct. 3rd. This will be our very last meet of the season. They would love to see their teachers out cheering them on. MANY OF THE KIDS BROUGHT HOME MEDALS. I took a picture of each division so you can post in your classroom and advertise their accomplishments.
