Palumbo Home & School Association Happenings
Help a Palumbo Family in Need - GoFundMe
Two weeks ago, a GoFundMe campaign launched to support a family with children at Academy at Palumbo and George W. Nebinger School and whose mother is a Palumbo staff member. This family recently experienced a tragic house fire, leaving them without a home and most of their belongings.
We set a goal of raising $5000 and as of November 1, we have raised $3,190 through 67 donations. Thank you to those who have donated. We need $1810 more to meet our goal. If you haven't donated yet, please consider making a contribution through this GoFundMe link. Any amount is appreciated, and please share this link with your friends.
Palumbo Self-Care Stations - Accepting Donations
Throughout Palumbo, students have access to self-care stations where they can get snacks and self-care items. Help us fill these stations by checking out the Amazon Wish List which was provided by Ms. DiGiuseppe.
Become a Member of the Home & School Association
As of November 1, 39 people have joined Palumbo HSA. We are halfway to our target of 80 members. Please consider joining. To learn more and to join, click here. Have questions about membership? Contact palumbogriffinshsa@gmail.com.

Shout out to Mr. Hoffman's music students who are using the city as their classroom by independently going out to Arts performances each quarter. Some have had the opportunity to interview artists and take pictures and videos with performers.
Thank you to Ms. Donnelly, Ms. Bond, Mr. Jordan, Mr. Remal, Ms. Fisher, the Orchestra, the Dance 2 class, and everyone else who helped to make the Parade of Horrors another huge success! Thank you students for showing up in your great costumes and entertaining us all! Thanks to the entire school for being such a great audience. By the way, our staff theme this year was Cartoon Characters. Can't wait til next year 😀

Important - Medical Forms need updating
There are two medical forms that need yearly updating for all students. If you have not already done so, please complete the medical information form and the med-1 form which allows our nurse to administer medication to students while in school.
If your student tests positive for Covid, the reporting form can be found here as well.
Please contact nurse Stevens at cstevens@philasd.org if you have questions.
