Miller Memo Welcome Back
Week 2: August 11, 2024
Mustang Welcome Back and Rockstar Celebrations
Welcome Back School Year 24-25
At Miller Elementary School, Mustangs RIDE respectfully together to success: Responsible, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy. As I embark on my second year as principal, I am eager to further partner with you in your children's education, fostering an environment of high expectations, academic excellence, and growth. School involvement, pride, and academic effort and reflection are central to our community, and I look forward to a fantastic year ahead.
Our Mustangs are already working hard to practice and understand RIDE. They have met with their buddies, created rules and expectations in the classroom and we have celebrated our first set of rockstars. Each week our adults choose a student who stands out in character, hard work, and RIDE respectfully together to success!
We are excited to celebrate our students everyday, work towards academic growth and work with our community to provide support! Please help us by working to honor our school day hours and limiting absences and tardies each quarter. Our school day begins at 8:20 and ends at 2:30. The first 40 minutes of our day is set aside to create individual learning opportunities for every one of our students. This time will positively impact your students' overall education and ability in their regular grade-level learning.
This year we are beginning our STEAM Beautification After School Program. This week you will receive a registration form. Please fill out our form and send it back. We will be reaching out and letting you know your registration has been complete and your student can begin staying after school for extended day learning. We also begin our athletic season with our 4th and 5th grade students participating in Flag Football. This is a coed sport. Students should have their athletic physical and packet turned in to the front office to participate. Tryouts begin this week Thursday August 15th.
Thank you for choosing Miller to meet your students academic, social and schooling needs! We are excited to spend the school year with your student(s) and family!
