NEWS FROM THE OFFICE
2025-2026 Teacher Requests
It is hard to believe we are already at the point in the year when we begin planning next year's class lists. We would like to explain our expectation for parent requests in class placement for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Parents need to submit a request on the Google Form by Friday, March 21 at 8:00 a.m. The form will be turned off after March 21 and requests will no longer be accepted.
- Please enter a form for each child separately.
- You may not request a teacher by name. If you request a teacher by name, it will not be honored.
- Please describe the learning style of your child and what type of teacher you feel best matches your child's learning style.
- If there are other students you don't want your child placed with, you may request this. Please give the reason why these students shouldn't be placed together. This request will need to be made annually by a parent.
Important Reminder for Fifth Grade Families!
Attention Fifth Grade Families! This is an important reminder that a communication was sent to you from South Middle School on January 27 regarding class registration for the 2025-2026 school year. The Google Form that was included is due no later than February 7.

SCE Canned Food Drive
During Rhodonite House Hype Week, February 10 - February 14, we will be hosting a food drive to support Operation Backpack. This program provides weekly sacks of kid-friendly, shelf stable food to get students through the weekend when school meals are not available. The House that donates the most items will earn 100 house points.
Valentines Day at Stone Creek
As a friendly reminder, SCE doesn't hold Valentine's Parties; instead, we participate in a service project! This is in our parent handbook. This year, will work together as a building to spread generosity through our service project. We will collect food to help support our school backpack program which helps provide food to students who need it. Please see the article above for more Information. Classroom teachers will communicate when and how valentines will be handled in the classroom. Below you will see the consistent building-wide guidelines.
Only valentines meeting these expectations will be passed out:
- If a teacher allows a decorated bag or box, it must fit in the student's backpack. Follow the directions given by your teacher.
- Absolutely no candy or any food items attached to valentines. Any food item will be sent back home.
Volunteer of the Month
Congratulations to Megan Melton for being Stone Creek's January Volunteer of the Month! Megan will receive preferential parking in our Volunteer of the Month parking spot and a Fast Pass for the month of February. Together, our volunteers took 6.5 HOURS of work off of our teacher's plates for the month of January so they could spend more time with their families. We're up to an astonishing 196 hours given back to teachers for the school year! Thanks again to ALL of our volunteers for filling in the missing piece to our puzzle, we appreciate you!
If you are interested in volunteering, just ask in the front office. We would love more help!
Ask us Anything!
Ask us anything! We often see questions on social media about policies and procedures at Stone Creek. We are here to help! If you have any question big or small about SCE, please ask it here. Our front office will monitor your questions and respond directly to you in a timely manner.
Earn 5 House Points
Help your student earn 5 house points! Every student that makes a valentine for their counselor, and delivers it to Mrs. Jennifer or Mrs. Jessica in the front office by the end of day Wednesday, February 5, will receive 5 house points. Please do not share this information.
