Halloween Information
Costumes
1. Avoid violent or bloody images. It is okay to look "scary," but there is a difference between frightening and gruesome.
2. Makeup should be minimal and applied at home. For the safety of our students and staff, MASKS ARE NOT ALLOWED!!!!
3. Please make sure that your child's costume has nothing hanging below the wrist or ankle. We don't want our students to trip.
4. Props (if any) must be manageable.
5. Weapons of any kind are not permitted.
Treats
Due to allergies...Food treats are NOT ALLOWED.
You may send your child with small trinkets to share with their friends.
Parade
Our annual Halloween Parade will begin in the school at 9:30am. The students will walk through each classroom before heading outside. We will exit out the main doors and head north and go around the building following the sidewalk. You are welcome to view the parade once we go outside.
Classroom Parties/Parent Volunteers
All parent volunteers have already been pre-assigned for this event. Any parents who are working the classroom party should stop into the office ahead of October 31st with their driver's license so we can put you into our system. This will allow us to have your badges printed and ready for you upon arrival and will allow you to get to the rooms faster.
Visitor Aware Pre-Registration✅
Last year D123 began using the Visitor Aware program to immediately identify visitors, along with when they arrived, and where they are going
In order to ensure a smooth visit to the school, please use THIS LINK to complete the pre-registration for Visitor Aware.
Once pre-registered, you will be prompted to take a picture of yourself and answer the questions, including DL#. Once you do this they will be in the system. You will receive their QR code via text and email. This QR code is what you will use when checking into the school for a visit.
If you have any questions, please contact the front office.
