December Newsletter

Seasons Greetings, Hollinger Families. Time flies when working hard and having fun! We have a couple of more weeks before Winter Break. These weeks are crucial for learning and covering skills needed for our students to be successful during the second half of the school year. Please make every effort to have your students at school on time every day. Missing school results in falling behind in school and every minute of learning counts. We have made a lot of academic growth during the first half the year but we are not finished yet.

Thank you to all of our families for supporting our school in various ways throughout this school year so far. We are not able to be as effective as educators without parent/family support. I wish everyone a productive close to 2024 along with a joyful holiday season and Happy New Year!

Felices fiestas, familias de Hollinger. ¡El tiempo vuela cuando se trabaja duro y se divierte! Tenemos un par de semanas más antes de las vacaciones de invierno. Estas semanas son cruciales para aprender y cubrir las habilidades necesarias para que nuestros estudiantes tengan éxito durante la segunda mitad del año escolar. Hagan todo lo posible para que sus estudiantes lleguen a la escuela a tiempo todos los días. Faltar a la escuela da como resultado atrasarse en la escuela y cada minuto de aprendizaje cuenta. Hemos logrado un gran crecimiento académico durante la primera mitad del año, pero aún no hemos terminado.

Gracias a todas nuestras familias por apoyar a nuestra escuela de diversas maneras durante este año escolar hasta ahora. No podemos ser tan efectivos como educadores sin el apoyo de los padres y la familia. ¡Les deseo a todos un cierre productivo de 2024 junto con una temporada festiva alegre y un feliz año nuevo!

Quarter 2 Benchmarks

Elementary- grades 2-5- December 5,6,9

MS grades 6-8- December 9-11

Please be sure that your child arrives to school on time and is ready to do their best!

Ensuring that they sleep well (get to bed early) the night before testing is always important!

If your child has wired headphones that they can bring to school for testing, they can use these for the writing and math tests.

Parents, remember that if your child is missing school, you are able to excuse the absence using the ParentVue App. You can mark the absence as illness or personal using the App.

Please make every effort to bring students to school on time EVERYDAY! It makes a big difference in their achievement. Our teachers are working hard to support students in every way possible, and doing your part to support attendance makes a big difference!
