OHS Weekly Wag ๐พ
Woofin' it with Principal Wells Week #3, September 8, 2024
Hello Families,
Our first full week of school will be marked by the beginning of instrumental music lessons for our 5th and 6th grade students with our new instrumental music teacher, Mr. Sweet. Our 4th-grade students will enjoy a visit from Symphony Shop on Wednesday, the 11th, which will include a show-and-tell of the instruments available for beginning band students. If you have any questions, you can email Mr. Sweet at alansweet@oldrochester.org.
Have a wonderful week!
Warmly,
Mrs. Wells
Responsive Classroom
As a Responsive Classroom district, these early weeks of school are an important time of year for building community within our classrooms and the school at large. Responsive Classroom is an evidence-based approach to learning that aims to create an engaging and joyful learning environment for students and teachers alike. During the first six weeks of school in all of our classrooms students are sharing their hopes and dreams for the year ahead and working collaboratively to develop classroom rules that will enable them to reach their goals.
