πΈπ¨Red Hawk Clubsπ€π§Ά
We had our first club meetings this week and the turnout was exceptional! We cannot wait to see what great things our students create, make, learn, and enjoy through our Red Hawk Clubs!
MANY students are on the waitlist still. Fortunately, many of our clubs have 6 week or semesterly rotations that will allow for another group of students to get in a club! You will be notified if your child is moved off of the waitlist.

β School Site Council
School Site Council is composed of equal numbers of staff and parent representatives who serve a 1-2 year term. They meet throughout the year to oversee the implementation of various programs in the school, including state and federally-funded programs. The School Site Council is a governing body which is responsible for deciding how to spend Title I money to improve the instructional programs here at Red Hawk Elementary School. The School Site Council members work together to set goals for improving student achievement at the school, allocate the funds to accomplish those goals, and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs.
For the coming school year, we have 3 parent/community member openings. Please vote for 3 community members by clicking on the button below!

β Attendance
AVOIDING ABSENCES, WRITTEN EXCUSES: Temecula Valley Unified School District urges parents to make sure their children attend school regularly and to schedule medical, dental, counseling and other appointments after school, on the weekend if possible or during school holidays. The district also asks that travel or other absences be avoided during the time that school is in session.
Student academic performance is directly correlated to student attendance. The school calendar is designed to minimize problems for families which plan vacations around traditional holiday periods, and thereby minimize student absences. Student calendars can be found at https://www.tvusd.k12.ca.us/Page/17861
Following an absence, a student is required to bring a written excuse from home or parents can call the attendance line to excuse absences that are excusable. Illnesses, and doctor and dental appointments are considered excused absences. Absences without a written/verbal excuse are recorded as unexcused. You may also call the attendance line at (951) 302-5133.
CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM: (EC 60901) A student is considered a chronic absentee when he/she is absent on 10% or more of the school days in the school year, from the date of enrollment to the current date. Chronic absenteeism includes all absences- excused or unexcused- and is an important measure because excessive absences negatively impact academic performance and student engagement.
